The state has advertised some 50 job vacancies in various institutions in efforts to boost employment.

Among the institutions include that of the office of the registrar of political parties, which has invited some applications for two positions of compliance officers, a registration officer, corporate communication officer, a supply chain management assistant, two clerical officers, a driver and an office assistant.

The Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO), on their part, has announced some 25 job opportunities.

They include a senior manager in transmission system planning, a senior manager in supply chain management, a manager (real-time operations), a manager of the transmission line, a manager in electrical design and a senior engineer in power dispatch.

Other vacancies include that of a senior legal officer commercial and compliance services, Senior Legal Officer Litigation & Compliance, Senior Officer, Project Planning & Economic Regulation, Senior Officer Supply Chain Management Projects, Graduate Engineer – Electrical Design, Graduate Engineer- Civil & Structural Design, two Graduate Engineers- Power Dispatch and Graduate Engineer SCADA Telecommunication.

Other vacancies include that of a Legal Officer- Litigation, two Security Officers- Operations, Business Development Officer, two Supply Chain Assistants- Stores & Warehouse, Assistant Accountant- Tax, Cash Management, Office Administrator, and Receptionist.

Only Kenyan citizens are eligible for the positions, which are on permanent and pensionable terms.

Kenya Leather Development Council is looking for a director of technical services, a manager of capacity building, a manager of common manufacturing facilities and another one for quality assurance and compliance.

Other job positions include an internal auditor, two leather technicians and an office assistant.

A certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) are required.

Multimedia University of Kenya is seeking to recruit 8 qualified candidates in the roles of chief supply chain management officer (procurement), a chief security officer (security), a senior legal officer (legal), senior secretary and executive secretary.

The education institution is also looking for a senior assistant librarian (cataloging, ICT & digital services), a technologist (instrumentation and control) and a technologist (renewable energy and technology).

The above positions carry competitive renumeration packages including basic salary, medical cover, transport and leave allowances.
