Aga Khan confirms death after fall from hospital building

The Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi has confirmed the death of an individual who fell from one of its buildings on Thursday.

In a statement issued on June 18, the hospital said the person died following the incident, whose circumstances are now under investigation.

"Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, can confirm that an individual fell from one of our buildings and sadly passed on," the hospital said.

The facility expressed sympathy to the deceased's family and loved ones following the incident.

"We are deeply saddened by this incident and extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones," the statement added.

The hospital said it is cooperating with relevant authorities as investigations into the matter continue.

Officials did not disclose the identity of the deceased or provide further details on the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The hospital also appealed for privacy for those affected as investigations proceed.

"We kindly request that the privacy and dignity of the family, our patients, and staff be respected as the investigations continue," the hospital said.

Authorities are expected to establish the circumstances that led to the fall as part of the ongoing investigations.
