Huduma Kenya has announced that thousands of vital government documents are ready for collection across its centres nationwide.
According to Huduma Kenya, a total of 82,506 national identity cards, 57,444 smart driving licences, and 22,524 birth certificates have been processed and are awaiting collection.
In a post on X, Huduma Kenya urged members of the public who have applied for these documents to visit any of its 59 Huduma Centres across the country to pick them up.
"Documents zimekam. Your government documents are ready for collection. Visit any of our 59 Huduma Centres nationwide and pick them today," read the post on X.
Huduma Kenya has operationalised and manages four service delivery channels, namely: 59 Huduma Centers across the 47 Counties, Huduma Contact and Tele-Counselling Centre, accessible through the call number 1919, Huduma Mashinani outreaches and Huduma Electronic and Mobile (www.hudumakenya.go.ke and USSD *191#).
The platforms provide self-service, assisted and Digital Government Services under one roof from various Ministries, Counties, Departments and Agencies.
In October 2024, at least 180,000 identity cards and 47,000 driving licenses remained uncollected in various Huduma centres nationwide.
Additionally, 54,000 birth certificates at the Huduma Centers await collection by their owners.
