Gachagua said the party will maintain a transparent system that gives every candidate equal opportunity.
Speaking Saturday when he hosted over 200 aspirants at his Mathira home, Gachagua emphasised that the DCP leadership holds no preference for any particular aspirant.
Instead, he said, the party will provide an equal platform where candidates will be judged solely on merit, commitment, and the choice of the electorate.
"We have no preference for any candidates whatsoever," he stated.
“We remain truly democratic and transparent. Every aspirant will be given an equal opportunity based on merit and the will of the people,” he added.
Gachagua further underscored that the DCP’s guiding principle is inclusivity and fairness.
He said the nomination process would be handled in a manner that ensures the most capable and people-centred leaders emerge to fly the party’s flag in 2027.
“Our commitment is to a fair and inclusive process that upholds the values of our party and ensures the best leadership for our future,” he assured.
He also applauded the leaders for their loyalty to the party and their active role in strengthening its grassroots base.
He credited their efforts during the recent membership drive, saying it demonstrated a commitment to entrenching DCP’s values and philosophy across the country.
“I commend you for anchoring the philosophy of our party with dedication and integrity,” Gachagua said.
"Our strength lies in our people, and it is you, the aspirants, who carry the vision of a democratic future.”
The meeting brought together aspirants from various counties.
