A bodaboda rider was stabbed and killed in an incident in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County.

Police said the deceased was identified as Christian Habumuremyi, 41, who operated at a local stage.

He was stabbed and killed on August 16 outside a house, moments after he had dropped a female pillion passenger.

Police said the deceased had stab wounds in the chest, lower abdomen and near the armpit about five meters from his motorcycle.

His mobile phone and cash were found intact in the pocket. It is not clear who was behind the murder and the motive.

Police said the body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.

The female passenger who had been dropped at the scene was detained pending investigations, police said.

Elsewhere in Kegonga, Kuria, Migori County, one Daniel Nyamatanga was found dead after he had been stabbed in an attack.

The body was found a few meters from his house with a stab wound in the stomach.

The motive of the August 16 incident is yet to be known.

The body was picked up and moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations, police said.

Elsewhere, police in Lodongokwe, Wamba, Samburu County are investigating a murder incident where one Richard Ngamaria Samburu, 56, was found dead after he had been slashed in the head.

Police said the motive of the murder is yet to be known.

The man was rushed to the hospital in the area, where he was declared dead on arrival.

The body had a deep cut in the forehead, and the assailant had escaped the scene, police said.

Police said they are looking for the assailant for questioning in connection with the August 16 incident.

In Ruaka, Kiambu County, a man who went missing for four days was found dead after a suspected murder.

The man went missing on August 12 before his body was discovered four days later near Gachie River, police said.

Police said Peter Karomo Kabui, 36, was found murdered with a shoe lace tied around his neck.

The motive of the murder was not immediately established. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
