SportPesa Mega Jackpot winner Bonnie Kamau has stated that he deserved the prize.
Speaking on Wednesday at a celebration at JW Marriott, Kamau revealed that he has gambled for 10 years.
"Nafeel nilideserve kuwin hii mega jackpot (I feel like I deserved to win this mega jackpot)," he said.
The Sh424,660,618 mega jackpot winner attributed it all to God.
"I know God always got me. He is the reason I won," he said calmly.
At the same time, he advised parents not to bet with school fees.
He asked them to bet responsibly, and if necessary, with the balance they get after fee payment.
"Do not bet with school fees because you will lose it. You can bet with either Sh100 or Sh200 and stand a chance to win," he said.
Kamau has said he will continue betting, stating that winning the mega jackpot is not a reason to quit.
"I love SportPesa. I will continue betting," he said.
"You don't stop siring children simply because you have an older one. So we continue."
Commenting on safe betting, Kamau said it is important to analyse and pray.
"I am a Catholic. That morning before betting, I prayed. I told God to give me this one. So you must pray and also work hard on the analysis," he said.
SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri also spoke on betting.
He urged regulation, noting that there is a need to ensure that gamblers do not end up being addicts.
"Gambling should not be a job. It needs to be regulated and people need to be educated to reduce gambling addiction," he said.
Karauri urged the media to help educate gamblers to promote healthy exercise.
