At the height of the Gen Z protests last June, many of us publicly and privately urged ODM leader Raila Odinga to seize the moment and provide leadership and direction to the movement, even though the young Turks openly said they were leaderless and tribeless.

My thinking then was that the former Prime Minister could have taken the Gen Z movement and morphed it into something akin to his morphing the grassroots Orange movement during the 2005 constitutional referendum and turned the movement into a formidable political party.
