The 21-year-old midfielder enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Polish giants, helping Lech Poznań clinch the Ekstraklasa title with 60 points and secure qualification for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds.
Ouma had previously featured for Harambee Stars during the 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September, making an impact off the bench against Gabon by assisting Masoud Juma’s goal in Kenya’s 2-1 defeat. He later appeared in Kenya’s emphatic 5-0 win over Seychelles before featuring again in the 1-1 draw against Burundi.
The former Nairobi City Stars midfielder is currently on loan from Czech champions SK Slavia Prague and is expected to return to his parent club ahead of next season.
Slavia Prague also secured their domestic league title, earning direct qualification to the UEFA Champions League group stage and setting up the Kenyan youngster for top-level European football next season.
Ouma says winning the Polish league title with Lech Poznań has strengthened his development ahead of the 2027 season as he targets a return to the Harambee Stars squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign.

Ouma returned to Kenya on Wednesday night and admitted the campaign had been both challenging and rewarding. “It’s been good, ups and downs, but we’ve managed to win, and it’s been good for me generally,” said Ouma.
“I have pushed both personally and as a team to bring the club’s identity back despite a lot going on. I’m really excited to be received by family and friends.”
The midfielder described lifting the league trophy as one of the highlights of his career so far. “Lifting the trophy means a lot for me. We’ve had a good team, good coaching staff, physios, management and training.”
Ouma also credited the competitiveness of the Polish top flight for accelerating his growth as a player. “It’s a good league with high intensity. I dedicate this to my family and friends because they’ve pushed me when things were not good.”
“Now I’m focused on next season,” he added. Despite his strong performances in Europe, Ouma was not included in the latest provisional Harambee Stars squad for the June international friendlies.
However, his displays for both Lech Poznań and Slavia Prague are expected to keep him firmly in contention for future national team call-ups as he prepares for Champions League football next season.
