Trump agreed, stating that the US-China relationship is the most important bilateral relationship and that both countries can achieve great things together.
The two leaders also discussed the TikTok issue, with Trump's administration considering a deal that would sell TikTok's US operations to a non-Chinese entity while retaining the Chinese algorithm.

The ministry brief further revealed that following the call, Trump and Xi have agreed to meet in November at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in South Korea, with plans for reciprocal visits to the US and China in 2026.
