Kenyans receiving remittances from abroad are most likely to get their money within an hour or on the same day when it is sent from the United States, according to the 2025 Remittances Household Survey Report by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) and FSD Kenya.
The United States leads with 16.4 per cent of recipients reporting same-day or one-hour delivery of funds. It is followed by another corridor at 9.2 per cent, while Qatar ranks third at 5.9 per cent.
Other key sources include the United Arab Emirates at 2.9 per cent, the United Kingdom at 2.2 per cent and Canada at 1.2 per cent. South Sudan, Nigeria, Sudan and China each account for less than one per cent, highlighting slower or less common rapid-transfer channels compared to leading remittance corridors.
