
Uganda remains Kenya’s leading market for domestic exports, with trade hitting Sh40.89 billion in 2025, up from Sh38.56 billion in 2024.
This is according to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.
Pakistan came second with Sh26.86 billion, followed closely by the Netherlands (Sh25.70 billion).
The UAE recorded the highest year-on-year growth, with exports surging by 37.5 percent to Sh22.9 billion.
Other top markets include the US (Sh24.61 billion), UK (Sh21.26 billion), and Tanzania (Sh17.28 billion).
Kenya’s growing export performance reflects its continued focus on diversifying trade partners and boosting competitiveness across sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and value-added products.
Strategic trade agreements and improved logistics have also contributed to this growth.
