A vocal member of an influential committee was reportedly overheard telling colleagues that they must devise “smarter” ways to navigate the system that now seems determined to expose them. This came shortly after President William Ruto publicly revealed the existence of a deep-rooted extortion racket within the august House. The visibly shaken lawmaker warned that the President’s remarks might have been directed at their committee, which has supposedly been grilling senior officials from various state agencies.
