Is a top government official too occupied with election politics that he is forgetting his official duties? Well, some think so. Corridors has learnt that a section of leaders in the administration are seemingly questioning the political value of some top officials who were appointed to senior positions in government. However, their political capital is reportedly not being felt as they are almost mum even on programmes in their line dockets. One official was overheard saying that the appointees are playing safe as they also plot for their political comebacks in their regions. This, however, the official said, is at the expense of the appointing authority, who needs as many hands as possible at this critical period.
