
The media industry is mourning the death of veteran football commentator Paul 'Diblo' Kaberia.
Kaberia served at Radio Jambo as a commentator for more than two decades.
Radio Africa Group HR Manager Jemima Ngode, in a statement on Sunday announced Kaberia’s passing, describing him as a dedicated employee whose voice and passion for football endeared him to listeners across the country.
“It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our colleague, Mr Paul Kaberia, football commentator at Radio Jambo for over 20 years,” Ngode said.
She added, "We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time."
Kaberia was widely known for his energetic football commentary and deep understanding of the game, making him one of the most recognisable sports voices on local radio.
