Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi was among the leaders who attended a traditional dowry presentation ceremony that united two prominent Rift Valley families—those of Immigration Principal Secretary Dr. Belio Kipsang and renowned businessman David Langat.

The Saturday event marked a significant cultural milestone for Brian Belio, son of Dr. Kipsang, and Nicole Langat, daughter of Langat, founder of the DL Group of Companies.

"Wishing Brian and Nicole a lifetime of love, happiness, and togetherness as they embark on this new journey together! Congratulations to the families," Sudi said.

The ceremony was highlighted by the observance of Tumdoab Kanyiook, a traditional Kalenjin rite that signifies respect, gratitude, and the formal joining of two families.

Also in attendance were family members, community elders, and other invited guests, underscoring the importance of preserving cultural customs even among Kenya’s elite.

Dr. Kipsang has held several senior positions in government, particularly in the education and immigration sectors. David Langat is one of Kenya’s most prominent private sector figures, with business interests in manufacturing, agriculture, and real estate.

The ceremony not only celebrated love and unity but also served as a symbol of cultural heritage and familial ties within the region’s leadership and business circles.
