‎The Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) Local Organising Committee chairman, Nicholas Musonye, has confirmed that tickets for the eagerly anticipated 2024 continental show will officially go on sale from July 15 ahead of the kick-off on August 2.

Kenya will play host to Group A's matches as well as the tournament's finale at the Moi Stadium, Kasarani and Nyayo Stadium.  ‎Group A includes Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo and Zambia. Musonye confirmed that the LOC have set the entry charges for the extravaganza, with the tickets set to hit the market from July 15.

"We discussed with the other countries on how to price the tickets. We have set the tickets at a low price because we understand the economy is hard, and we want Kenyans to come in large numbers and enjoy the game. "The tickets will be out on July 15 so Kenyans can start purchasing," Musonye said.

‎The ticket pricing for the Kenyan venues has been set as follows: Sh200 for terraces, Sh500 for VIP and Sh1,000 for VVIP. ‎In a move designed to boost regional attendance, Musonye also announced that the three host nations have agreed to waive visa requirements for travelling fans.

“For us to have a good competition, Chan and Afcon, we agreed along with Uganda and Tanzania to allow our fans to move freely. If you have Visa restrictions, people may not come. So we asked our governments to allow our fans to move freely and waive Visa entry."

‎"However, this does not mean anyone can just walk in; there is security that will vet those coming in."

‎With excitement building across the region, Musonye assured that both Kasarani and Nyayo will roar back to life in August, with fans treated to daily double-headers. “We have matches in Kasarani and Nyayo, it will be a double header every day with matches being played at Kasarani from 3 pm and Nyayo at 4 pm. We are also working on getting shuttle buses for smooth transportation," he noted.

Musonye was full of praise for the Kenyan government’s commitment to sports infrastructure.  “I want to thank our government for coming out strongly to ensure our facilities are in place. A lot has been done in matters of infrastructure, which has been a challenge for the nation."

‎Musonye issued a rallying call to fans across East Africa to embrace the tournament and make it a spectacle to remember. ‎“We are appealing to the people of Kenya and East Africa to come and enjoy this competition."

‎“It’s a rare opportunity to host Africa in our region. The success of Chan will shape the future of hosting the Afcon. We have talked with our neighbours, Uganda and Tanzania and agreed we must have order for us to host a successful Afcon," he said.
