The Interior CS is in Trans Nzoia for the 22nd Jukwaa La Usalama grassroots engagements
In Summary
Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kipchumba Murkomen on July 28, 2025, paid a courtesy call on Governor George Natembeya before engaging with members of the public, local leaders, NGOs and security personnel at the County Commissioner's residence.
The CS was in Trans Nzoia for the 22nd Jukwaa La Usalama grassroots engagements.
He met with the county security team and assessed registration services at the ACC Central Division, Saboti Sub-County.
The CS is accompanied by DIG-APS Gilbert Masengeli, Regional Police Commander Jasper Ombati, Regional Administration Police Commander John Amadadi and other senior government officials.
The courtesy call comes days after Governor Natembeya reported back to his head office in Kitale on July 21, 2025, after the expiry of a two-month ban by a court in Nairobi.
On May 20, Natembeya was freed on a bond of Sh1 million with an alternative bail of Sh500,000 following charges of corruption.
Natembeya has been operating at sub-county offices, where he held meetings and met official delegations.
During the two months, he also made an extensive tour of the county and argued that he had nothing to hide in the office.
“I am excited to be back and, as usual, let's work hard to serve the people of Trans Nzoia”, he told staff who received him.
