
Mombasa residents on Wednesday took to the streets to commemorate the victims of the 2024 anti-finance Bill protests.
They began their day with mass at ACK Cathedral along Nkrumah Road. They then marched to Mapembeni area along Moi Avenue, where the protest officially kicked off.

The protesters were seen carrying placards, singing and dancing to tunes.

As this happened in Mombasa, protests have erupted across major towns in the country.
Demonstrators are calling for accountability and remembering those who died during last year’s protests.
