
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporary traffic disruption at Naivas JKIA along Mombasa Road (A8), Mombasa-bound service lane.
The disruption will be from Saturday, June 14, 2025 9.00 pm to Sunday June 15, 2025, 10.00 am.
The Authority said the closure will allow for the installation of the fabricated footbridge beams of the Syokimau Railway Footbridge.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Mombasa Road (A8) near Naivas JKIA will experience traffic disruption along the Mombasa bound Service lanes from Saturday, 14th June, 2025 at 9.00 pm to Sunday, 15th June, 2025 at 10.00 am,” the statement read.
KeNHA advised motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site.
KeNHA is a statutory body established under the Kenya Roads Act of 2007 and inaugurated in September 2008.
It is responsible for the development, rehabilitation, management and maintenance of all National Trunk Roads comprising of Class S, A, and B roads.
It is headquartered in Nairobi and has ten regional offices and three corridor management offices.
KeNHA was certified ISO 9001: 2008 in July 2013 and was recertified to ISO 9001: 2015 in September 2018.
It is also in charge of all weigh bridge installations.
