President William Ruto now says that Kenyans should judge him based on what he will have done for the country in 2027.

Speaking at Njiru Junction on Friday, Ruto said elections are in 2027, and it is the people who will decide who their leader will be.

He insisted that everyone should work hard and that he will do his job as constitutionally required.

The President told off his opponents, saying that they will meet in 2027 and that they will all be judged by their works.

Tusikizane rafiki zangu, sasa ni 2025, uchaguzi utakuwa 2027. Nyinyi ndio mtaamua kulingana na ile kazi mtu amefanya. Kila mtu afanye bidii. Kazi yangu nitafanya.

This loosely translates to, “Listen to me, my friends; it is now 2025, and the elections will be in 2027. You will decide based on the work that someone has done. Everyone should work hard. I will do my job. I will plan employment for these young people; your roads, water, classrooms—I will educate your children. Let's meet in 2027 with those who have issues. You shall decide. People of Njiru, everyone will be judged by their work.”

President William Ruto, during his remarks, addressed other issues including job creation efforts by his administration, and fixing the economy.

He was accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, among other leaders.

Ruto has been on a five-day development tour of Nairobi City County, where he commissioned various projects, in addition to inspection those that are ongoing.

The development tours are part of the President’s initiatives to further devolve development to the interior parts of Kenya.

He has so far done an extensive development tour of North Eastern, Coast and Western Kenya counties.

His next stop will be in the Mt Kenya region.
