Africa's digital landscape continues to show a stark divide, with a select group of nations surging ahead in internet connectivity while the majority of the continent remains largely disconnected.

In Southern Africa, Botswana leads its neighbours at 81.4 per cent, with South Africa following at 78.4 per cent. Other nations making the top fifteen include Mauritius at 79.5 per cent, Cabo Verde at 73.5 per cent, Gabon at 71.9 per cent, and Ghana at 69.9 per cent.
Djibouti, Namibia, and Sao Tome round out the top fifteen, posting connectivity rates of 65 per cent, 64.4 per cent, and 61.5 per cent, respectively.
Despite these high-performing nations, a significant digital deficit persists across the continent. Thirty-five African countries still have more citizens offline than online.
