President William Ruto leads the popularity rankings among potential presidential contenders, according to a nationwide opinion poll released on July 13, 2026, by research firm Infotrak.

Ruto commands the field with 32 per cent support, positioning him ahead of his closest potential rival, Kalonzo Musyoka, who holds 13 per cent.

Edwin Sifuna and Fred Matiang'i follow closely in a tight contest, tying at 12 per cent each.

Further down the standings, Rigathi Gachagua registers 4 per cent support, while Babu Owino stands at 3 per cent.

Former Chief Justice David Maraga secures 2 per cent, and Martha Karua garners 1 per cent.

An additional 1 per cent of support is split among several other political figures, a group that includes George Natembeya, Eugene Wamalwa, Ndindi Nyoro, Okiya Omtatah, Ekuru Aukot, George Wajackoyah, and Jimmy Wanjigi.

While the candidate landscape shows clear frontrunners, a substantial portion of the electorate remains uncommitted.

Eighteen per cent of those surveyed remain undecided about their preferred candidate, while another 3 per cent preferred not to disclose their choice.
