Breakfast radio shows: Which stations are leading?/ROSA MUMANYI

According to a June 2026 GeoPoll survey, Classic 105 remains the dominant breakfast radio station in Nairobi, commanding a 27.4 per cent share of the morning audience.

Radio Jambo ranks second with a 16.53 per cent listenership share, making it the leading Swahili-language breakfast station in the capital.

Together, the two stations enjoy a significant lead over their competitors.

The race for the remaining audience is closely contested.

Kiss FM and Hope FM attract 4.3 per cent and 4.2 per cent of listeners respectively, while NRG Radio follows at 3.8 per cent.

Capital FM records a 3.2 per cent share, ahead of Nation FM at 2.9 per cent and Homeboyz Radio at 2.5 per cent.

The findings underscore Nairobi listeners' continued preference for established breakfast shows, with Classic 105 and Radio Jambo maintaining their positions as the city's leading morning radio stations.
