
Subsidised fertiliser is the most impactful state intervention driving agricultural production, as reported by 80% of farmers surveyed in July 2025.
Following a long way behind, at 34%, is the provision of certified seeds, which also significantly contributes to production.
Other key interventions are less prominent but still noteworthy. Commodity price support and extension services were each cited by 17% and 16% of respondents, respectively.
Both tractor services and water supply are considered crucial by 10% of farmers.
The least impactful of the listed interventions are value addition initiatives, which are seen as a key driver by only 6% of those surveyed.
