In the last decade, smartphones have transformed from mere communication tools into powerful gateways to the digital world, fundamentally altering how people access information, connect with others, and go about daily life.
According to the GeoPoll Report: Smartphone and Social Media Usage 2025, released on July 31, browsing the internet (85%) emerged as the top activity of what Kenyans use their phone for.
It was followed closely by making voice and video calls (80%), and sending text messages (SMS) (80%).
