The Anti-Counterfeit Authority has listed some of the most counterfeited goods in Kenya’s chemical and allied sector.
The ACA reports that fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs) are among the most counterfeited items in Kenya’s chemical and allied sector.
They include goods such as soap, detergents, food products, and dry-cell batteries.
Counterfeit agrochemicals, including seeds and fertilisers, are also prevalent, posing risks to food security and farmers' livelihoods.
According to ACA, counterfeit lubricants, petroleum products, and vehicle spare parts are common, especially in Nairobi’s industrial areas and border towns.
