A 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer: Kenya Report highlights global concerns about discrimination, with Kenya ranking among the top 10 countries where people fear being discriminated against.
The findings indicate that 77 per cent of Kenyans worry about prejudice, discrimination, or racism, a 10-point increase from 2024.The report places Malaysia (78 per cent) at the top, followed by Indonesia (77 per cent), Kenya (77 per cent), and South Africa (77 per cent).
Other countries where discrimination fears are high include India (76 per cent), Nigeria (75 per cent), Mexico (74 per cent), Thailand (74 per cent), Colombia (72 per cent), and UAE (71 per cent).
