President William Ruto with ODM Leader Raila Odinga during the second day of the Third National Executive Retreat at KCB Leadership centre in Karen, Nairobi County on June 20, 2025/PCS
President William Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Friday attended the third National Executive Retreat at the KCB Leadership Center in Kajiado County.
The three-day retreat came at a critical juncture for the Kenya Kwanza administration, which faced mounting public pressure over alleged human rights abuses.
It was the third such retreat since President Ruto assumed office in 2022.
The National Executive Retreat provided an opportunity to take stock of progress, evaluate impact, and make informed decisions about the government’s direction.
The agenda focused on six strategic areas: lowering the cost of living, eliminating hunger, creating jobs, widening the tax base, improving the foreign exchange balance, and promoting inclusive growth.
These objectives were pursued through targeted investments in five key sectors: agriculture, health, MSMEs, the digital superhighway and creative economy, and housing.
