Former Deputy President Gachagua

Former Deputy President Gachagua has shared a glimpse into his personal life, revealing his simple and relaxed style when at home.

In a video seen by the Star, the former deputy president said he prefers comfort over formality while in his private space.

"I wear easy when I am home," he stated.

He says he often opts for tracksuits or jumpers to stay relaxed.

According to Gachagua, at times,  he even spends the whole day in pajamas just to enjoy freedom from tight or formal clothing.

Away from the political spotlight, Gachagua said he enjoys reading books as a way to unwind.

On the music front, he revealed a love for reggae, saying, "The other day I danced to 'No Woman No Cry."

When it comes to online spaces, Gachagua said he is not one to spend much time on social media.

Instead, he states that he prefers face-to-face consultations and real-time conversations.

"I only check into WhatsApp a little in the evening to see what people have to say," he noted.

The former deputy president also stated that the Mountain is solid.

"Mlima is solid, its like its been mixed with hard cement," he said.

Gachagua, who has sustained his onslaught against the government, has been holding meetings with various groups at his Wamunyoro residence in Mathira, Nyeri County.

He recently announced that he would launch his party in May as he lays the groundwork for the 2027 General Election.

The former DP's allies have confirmed that plans to unveil the political vehicle are complete, as Gachagua seeks to affirm his influence in national politics.

He also wants to consolidate his Mount Kenya heartland, which has become furiously restive since his removal from office.
