Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi has lost her son Elvis Murakana Namenya.

Leaders and friends on Tuesday took to social media to condole with her following the tragic news.

The cause of death remains unclear as messages of condolences continue to pour in.

Kileleshwa Ward MCA Robert Alai said it was with a heavy heart that he extended his deepest condolences to Elachi and her family following the loss.

“As the MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, I join the people of Dagoretti North and beyond in mourning this profound loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength and solace in the love and support that surrounds you,” he said.

Alai added that Kileleshwa Ward community offers unwavering support and prayers for Elachi and her family as they navigate the grief.

Veteran broadcaster Fred Obachi Machokaa also sent his message of solace to the MP.

“Parents prefer being buried by their children but God's plans don't necessarily align with ours. Poleni sana the Elachis, may the Almighty God comfort you at this very difficult moment.”

Shinyalu MP Fredrick Lusuli mourned the passing of Elvis saying: ”On behalf of my family and the great people of Shinyalu, I send my sincere condolences to my big sister and colleague Hon Beatrice Elachi and her family for the sad loss of their dear son Elvis.

“May God give you strength to endure."

Elachi's party ODM also condoled with her over the loss.

May God grant Hon Beatrice Elachi and family the fortitude and strength to overcome the pain of losing her son Elvis Murakana Namenya. It is such a huge loss to Mheshimiwa. As a party we stand with her during this difficult moment of mourning and grief."
