Pope Francis is expected to make his first public appearance since he was hospitalized on February 14, 2025.
The announcement was made by the Holy See press office on Saturday as part of their daily updates on the Pope’s health.
The Pope will make an appearance at his hospital window for greetings and to bless the people.
“Pope Francis intends to appear at his window tomorrow at Rome's Gemelli hospital shortly after noon for a greeting and to impart his blessing. The text of the Pope's Angelus reflection will be distributed as on previous Sundays,” the Holy See Press office said.
The Pope has suffered several respiratory crises during his treatment but the latest information says that he continues to be stable and in recovery.
Since his admission to the hospital, Pope Francis has not been seen in public, and no photographs have been released, except for Sunday (March 16).
Earlier this month, an audio recording of him speaking in his native Spanish was played in St Peter's Square in Vatican City.
In recent days, the Pope has joined spiritual exercises of prayers and meditation held at the Vatican via video link, without being seen.
The first picture of the Pope since his hospitalisation on February 14, 2025, was released on Monday, March 17.
In the picture seen by the Star, the Pope was in a wheelchair.
The release of the picture came after Pope Francis participated in the celebration of the Eucharist.
“The Holy See Press Office has released a picture of Pope Francis in prayer after concelebrating the Eucharist this morning. It's the first to be released since the Pope's hospitalisation on 14 February,” the Vatican said.
Catholic Christians refer to the sacrament of the Eucharist as the bread and wine consecrated during the Catholic Mass, which, according to their belief, contains the body and blood of Christ.
