A social media post by Nyandarua Senator John Muhia Methu
that shows the lawmaker spotting shaved hair and beards has ignited mixed
reactions among netizens.
A section of netizens had previously voiced their discontent
over his untrimmed hair and beards, while others appreciated his distinctive
look.
Public opinion on the senator’s appearance grew increasingly
vocal, which ultimately influenced his decision to shave his long hair and beards.
“Nyinyi si wazuri, by the way, imebidi,” he said in his social media post on Monday, which was accompanied by a picture apparently showcasing
his new look.
The move sparked mixed reactions from Kenyans, with a section applauding his new look while others stated that they preferred his former look and others found it hard to believe.
"Congratulations! Now you look like a senator; please don't
keep those beards again. People were worried,” Stephen Kabuga reacted.
“I will believe it when I see the video,” Karangu Muraya hilariously
posted.
“Don't try to show us TBT; bring evidence,” Ruthie Njoro
stated.
Kimata Joseph posted, “Now you are the young, vibrant young
leader you have always been mhesh. Congratulations.”
“You don’t look like yourself,” Alice Mwangi said.
“I could have believed but just recalled that the hair kept
a very serious covenant!” Celine Mary Mwangi, on the other hand, posted.
Maggie Jane added, “So, you are this young!”
