President William Ruto on Monday opened the Dishi na County Central Kitchen in Nairobi. The President interacted with the students and served them lunch, a plate of rice and beans.

He later joined them at a table and ate with the students.
The President said the government will keep expanding school feeding programmes across Kenya, especially in informal settlements and marginalised areas.

This, he said, will boost enrollment and enhance the performance of learners.
He was accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang, and Food for Education founder and CEO Wawira Njiru among other leaders.
