
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki will today meet Coffee Caucus MPs to review the ongoing coffee sector reforms.
The meeting will be held at his official Karen Residence.
The 78 MPs are pushing for harmonization of laws and regulations to reduce deductions made to the farmers' produce and give them more income.
They also want the government to offset all debts owed by coffee cooperative unions and free farmers from recovery deductions.
They are also pushing for an increase of the cherry fund from Sh 2 billion to Sh 6 billion.
CS Murkomen to commission newly armored vehicles for the police
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen will today commission the newly armored vehicles for the police aimed at boosting security operations.
The acquisition is part of the government’s 5-year Police Equipment Modernisation (PEM) programme, set to cost Sh37 billion.It will be held at the GSU headquarters.

It will also meet the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) to inquire into the representation of Kenya's diversity in the staff composition.
