

Deputy Chief of Staff Eliud Owalo has recruited prominent communication and branding specialists to join the Government Delivery Unit (GDU).
Leading the team is Carol Mandi, a well-known strategic communications advisor, publisher and editor.
Mandi has previously served as an advisor to the Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Communications and Digital Economy.
She is a publisher of various magazines; and managing editor of the True Love Magazine and a sub-editor with the Nation Media Group.
Owalo, responsible for Performance and Delivery Management in government has also recruited branding specialist Archie Achieng Ojany-Alai.
She has previously served as County Executive Member for Tourism, Culture and Sports in the County Government of Kisumu.
She has also had stints at Leo Burnet Advertising in London and McCann Erickson in Kenya.
Former KTN Reporter Boniface Odinga has also joined the GDU.
He has also previously had stints as a lecturer in Journalism at both USIU and Maseno University and as Director of Communications in the County Government of Siaya.
Also joining the GDU is Patrick Amimo, a former Standard Group bureau chief who has also previously had a stint as KTN News anchor; news editor Express TV; and senior reporter, NTV.
Wambui Ng’ayu, an advertising and branding specialist is
also part of the team.
Wambui has previously served in three advertising companies, namely Scanad, Nuturn Bates; and Transcend Media.
She has also previously had stints at NTV and K24.
Owalo has also recruited product development, branding and delivery specialist Alloyce Obare.
He has previously served as a delivery advisor in the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy; and Chief of Staff in the County Government of Siaya.
According to Owalo, the six personalities have been onboarded to strengthen communication and stakeholder engagement in all aspects of Performance and Delivery in government.
They are mandated to position the government, its leadership, projects and programmes effectively as viable products in the marketplace.
