Kenya Revenue Authority and the Norwegian Tax Administration delegation led by Øivind Strømme, the International Director, among other delegates during their meeting in Nairobi on March 12, 2025/HANDOUTThe Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) hosted the Second Annual Project Meeting with the Norwegian Tax Administration (NTA) on Wednesday in a significant step forward to strengthen global tax administration efforts.
These two have created a strong bond to improve KRA’s capability to manage and administer tax systems in the country.
“KRA and NTA have established a strong partnership aimed at enhancing KRA's capacity to effectively manage and administer tax systems in Kenya,” KRA said.
KRA further spoke on their relationship with NTA, stating that they have built a bond from common interests where they would pursue prospects for collaboration under the Tax for Development programme to improve KRA’s operations.
“This cooperation began with a shared interest in exploring opportunities for collaboration under the Tax for Development (TfD) Programme, focusing on improving various aspects of KRA's operations and service delivery.”

Øivind Strømme, the International Director at the Norwegian Tax Administration, led the NTA delegation as he joined the meeting for productive discussions and knowledge sharing.
Furthermore, Kenya Revenue Authority reiterated the importance of the partnership, saying that they are determined to encourage international cooperation and drive tax administration.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to fostering international cooperation and driving innovation in tax administration.”
